Solomon Taiwo

In Loving Memory of Solomon Olubunmi Taiwo Solomon Olubunmi Taiwo, 77, a retired educator and former resident of Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Solomon valued education and lifelong learning. He earned a Master's degree in Finance from Chicago State University and devoted his life to inspiring others through education, leaving a lasting impact on the many lives he touched.

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Olawale Taiwo of Folsom, California; his daughter, Yetunde Shorters of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; and his five cherished grandchildren. His wisdom, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In accordance with his wishes, the family has chosen a private cremation, and there will be no public services.
